What is the IND050 datasheet?
The IND050 datasheet - Replacement of lighting equipment with LED technology in the interior of industrial facilities - is one of the most widely used standardised datasheets in the CAE catalogue. It applies to industrial halls, warehouses and workshops where existing lighting (fluorescent, metal halide, HPS, etc.) is replaced with LED luminaires.
Eligibility requirements
- The installed LED luminaires must have a minimum luminous efficacy of 130 lm/W (Orden TED/845/2023)
- The premises must be an industrial interior (hall, warehouse, workshop)
- The old luminaires must be replaced, not merely supplemented
The calculation formula
The annual final energy saving is calculated as follows:
Saving_kWh/year = (P_before - P_after) x H x F_simult
Where:
- P_before: installed power of the existing luminaires (kW)
- P_after: installed power of the new LED luminaires (kW)
- H: annual operating hours
- F_simult: simultaneity factor (proportion of luminaires switched on simultaneously)
Total CAE = Saving_MWh/year (it is not multiplied by the service life)
Practical example
An industrial hall of 2,000 m2 with the following characteristics:
- Power before: 10,000 W (10 kW) of fluorescent lighting
- Power after: 3,500 W (3.5 kW) of LED (150 lm/W)
- Operating hours: 4,500 h/year (two shifts)
- Simultaneity factor: 0.90
Calculation:
Saving = (10 - 3.5) kW x 4,500 h x 0.90 = 26,325 kWh/year = 26.3 MWh/year Total CAE = 26.3 MWh Valuation: 26.3 MWh x 100 EUR/MWh = 2,630 EUR
Required documentation (D1 to D5)
- D1: Inventory of existing luminaires (brand, model, power, quantity)
- D2: Technical datasheets of the installed LED luminaires (with certification of efficacy greater than or equal to 130 lm/W)
- D3: Invoice or contract for the action
- D4: Before/after photographic report
- D5: Supporting calculation (automatically generated by CertificAhorro)
Common mistakes to avoid
- Failing to check the minimum efficacy of 130 lm/W before including the luminaires
- Using operating hours without justification (they must be backed by records)
- Forgetting to include emergency and signage lighting in the calculation
- Not keeping the packaging of the old luminaires as evidence of replacement
